In good company: Time Under Tension featured in global agency whitepaper

Earlier this week, VoxComm, the global voice for the agency sector, published a landmark whitepaper titled Redesigning the Agency Value Model. Written by Brian Kessman of Lodestar Agency Consulting, with a foreword from Tim Williams of Ignition Consulting Group, it's a view into where the agency industry is headed and how firms need to rethink how they price and deliver value.

We were asked to contribute, and I spent time with Brian talking through how we've built Time Under Tension from the ground up with a fundamentally different model to the traditional agency: a clear set of productised offerings designed around client outcomes.

The paper features case studies from agencies around the world, and I'm genuinely proud that we're among them. These are firms that are actively reshaping how the industry operates, not waiting for the old model to fail before doing something about it.

The themes from the paper mirror what we've been doing since day one. Our AI Design Sprint and AI Adoption Sprint are fixed-price, repeatable engagements. We sell outcomes and deliverables, not hours. As I told Brian, "nine times out of ten, the clients are buying it as is." This is as a result of building a model that genuinely works for both sides of the table.

The whitepaper also references our Net Promoter Score of 96, with 25 out of 26 recent clients rating us as promoters. This means a lot to us, because it reflects the trust clients place in us when they're navigating something genuinely new and uncertain.

As generative AI continues to reshape what agencies can do, and how quickly they can do it, the firms that will thrive are those who've already moved beyond the billable hour.

If you'd like to read the full paper, you can download it via VoxComm. And if you want to talk about how this thinking applies to your business, you know where to find us.
