🌱 Introducing EcoBuddy — a smarter, greener way to shop
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of EcoBuddy, a new conversational shopping experience now live on National Product Review.
Designed and developed by Time Under Tension for our amazingly progressive client NARTA, and supporting their network of retailers and manufacturers, EcoBuddy launched last week, and it’s already changing the way people shop for appliances.

EcoBuddy is all about helping shoppers have better conversations - not just about products, but about sustainability, energy efficiency, and what “eco-friendly” really means.
There are two key ways to interact with it:
1. The EcoBuddy Chatbot
From the moment you land on National Product Review, you can chat naturally with EcoBuddy. Whether you're searching for a washing machine, fridge or dryer - it guides you with smart questions to find the best fit for your needs.

EcoBuddy also calculates potential energy and water savings in relatable terms, like how many phone charges you’d save per year, based on your personal utility rates.
2. The EcoBuddy Widget on Product Pages
Once you’re viewing a product, EcoBuddy comes with you. The on-page widget brings a new level of interactivity to product detail pages, using advanced RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) techniques to reference specs, documentation, and product manuals in real time.
That means you can ask questions like:
Is this safe for delicates?
What’s the warranty length?
Does this come with a hose?
Is it compatible with solar setups?
And get instant, intuitive answers.
